Language Features of Caption Text 

A caption text is written in present tense and active voice. Don't forget to include credit for the photographer of the picture.

Caption often uses prepositional, infinitive, adjectival and present participle pharases.

Present participles are similar to gerund. Both have the sane form (verb-ing), but have different functions. A gerund acts like a noun while a present participle acts like a verb or adjective.
